Officials announced the event details at a press conference & networking event held on 14th March 2025 at Brick Studio by Metal Bees in Petaling Jaya. The announcement gathered several key figures including Penang State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Wong Hon Wai, Dato Khoo Boo Lim, Chief Minister Incorporated (CMI) general manager Datin M. Barathi, PCEB chief executive officer Ashwin Gunasekaran, and event organiser Wilson Teoh.

The three-day event will take place from 25th to 27th April at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre. Organised by Gryphon Production with support from Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB), the show aims to be the ultimate destination for audio and visual excellence in the northern region.

NIAV 2025 will bring together high-fidelity sound systems and cutting-edge visual technology under one roof. Visitors can expect a comprehensive programme featuring expert-led talks, hands-on workshops, and exclusive product demonstrations throughout the event.

Exhibitors from Singapore, China, Lithuania, Taiwan and Denmark will participate. Brands from the USA, Japan, UK, France, South Korea, Canada, Sweden, Italy and Switzerland will also be displayed.

Industry professionals will provide valuable insights into the latest trends and technological advancements in the audio-visual sector. These sessions aim to educate enthusiasts about current innovations and future developments in the field.

A highlight of this year’s show is a free jazz concert featuring internationally acclaimed Japanese soul singer Nao Yoshioka. The artist will perform on both 25th and 26th April from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, adding a musical dimension to the technological showcase.

Entry to the Northern International Audio & Visual Show is completely free, with no purchase required. This accessibility allows audio and visual enthusiasts of all levels to explore and experience the latest equipment and technologies available in the market.

The event represents a significant addition to Penang’s calendar of technology and creative economy events for 2025. It aligns with the state’s efforts to position itself as a hub for innovative industries and cultural experiences.
