Doulos Hope – The World’s Largest Floating Bookfair Comes to Penang

Calling all book lovers and literary enthusiasts! Get ready for an extraordinary experience as Doulos Hope, one of the world’s largest floating bookfairs, makes its way to Penang. From May 27th to June 19th, 2023, bookworms in Penang and beyond will have the opportunity to delve into a treasure trove of knowledge and explore over 2,000 book titles on board the Doulos Hope ship.

Located at the port of Penang, Doulos Hope offers a unique and immersive experience for visitors of all ages. The bookfair welcomes guests from Tuesday to Sunday, between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM. However, please note that the ship remains closed on Mondays, allowing the crew a well-deserved day of rest.

To enter the floating bookfair, a nominal entrance fee of RM2 is required. Registration can be done conveniently by this link. Ensure that you bring your Residence ID or Passport for identification purposes, and children must be accompanied by an adult for their safety.
