Amari SPICE Penang, the leading contemporary business hotel in Bayan Lepas, has clinched several prestigious accolades this awards season, cementing its position as a premier destination for business and leisure travellers alike.

The hotel, which opened its doors on 9 September 2022, has already made its mark in the industry. In 2023, it was awarded a 5-Star category within a year of its debut.

At the recent Haute Grandeur Awards 2024, Amari SPICE Penang swept five distinct categories. The hotel was recognised as the Best Convention Hotel in Asia, Best M.I.C.E. Hotel in Asia, and Best New Hotel in Asia. It also bagged the title of Best Business Hotel in Malaysia.

The hotel’s General Manager, Mr Noorazzudin Omar, a well-respected hospitality personality with 30 years of experience, was honoured as the Best General Manager in Malaysia. Mr Noorazzudin continues to lead his team with vision, driving the hotel to new heights of recognition.

The culinary team at Amari SPICE Penang also shone at the Battle of the Chefs Penang 2024, held from 27 to 29 June. The biennial event, now in its 19th edition, saw the hotel’s talented F&B team earn several awards in their respective categories.

Leonard Siah clinched a Silver Award in the Mocktails category, while Wesley Ting Cze Khie received a Diploma for the Penang Baba Nyonya Cocktail Theme. Rahulizam Alif Hafizd bin Abdul Rahman earned a Diploma in Latte Art, and Toh Wei Giap bagged a Gold Award for Fine Dine Table Setting. The Sweet Sensation category saw Sofea Sabrina binti Husin and Thanakith a/l Pramoot secure a Bronze Award.

The hotel’s winning streak continued at the Tourism Industry Award 2024 on 26 July. Amari SPICE Penang was honoured as The Best Business Event Hotel at this inaugural event, further solidifying its reputation as a top-tier destination for business, leisure, meetings, and events across the nation.

Situated in the heart of Penang’s Central Business District in Bayan Lepas, Amari SPICE Penang offers 453 contemporary designed guest rooms and suites. The hotel boasts world-class integrated hospitality facilities, including a 240-square-meter pillar-less ballroom, an all-day dining Amaya Food Gallery, and a soon-to-be-open D’Observatory Sky Bar.
