Eastin Hotel Penang welcomed members of Friends of Childhood Cancer Northern (FOCCAN) for a Berbuka Puasa gathering at Swez Brasserie on 12 March 2025.
The event brought together children battling cancer, their caretakers, and FOCCAN representatives for a celebration during the holy month of Ramadan.
Activities included a group photo session and the presentation of duit raya to attendees. Guests enjoyed a special Ramadan feast prepared by the hotel’s culinary team, featuring traditional and contemporary dishes.
Winnie Suzan Yip, Hotel Manager of Eastin Hotel Penang, said: “We strongly believe in giving back to the community and fostering moments of joy, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. We recognise the incredible work FOCCAN does in supporting children battling cancer and their families.”
A FOCCAN representative expressed gratitude for the hotel’s hospitality, noting that such events bring joy to the children and their families, allowing them to temporarily set aside their worries.
