HARD ROCK CAFE IPOH TEAM BRINGS KINDNESS TO THE STREETS IN IPOH

IPOH: Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh, a vibrant new addition to the city’s dining and entertainment landscape, has recently marked its inaugural year by partnering with Dapur Jalanan Ipoh in a commendable outreach project. This initiative aimed to support the local homeless and elderly communities, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to civic engagement and social responsibility.

In conjunction with the Father’s Day celebration in June, the team from Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh, along volunteers from Dapur Jalanan Ipoh and other local non-governmental organisations, distributed food supplies at various locations across the city. This included Medan Selera Dato Sagor, Jalan Foo Yet Kai, and the Anjung Singgah Hostel – a facility operated under Yayasan Kebajikan Negara, located at Medan Istana, Bandar Ipoh Raya. The event successfully reached out to 100 individuals, providing not just nourishment but also a sense of community and care.

The staff of Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh, totalling 15 dynamic individuals, actively participated in this event, embodying the ethos of volunteerism and the drive to make a positive impact in the lives of those around them. This collaboration with Dapur Jalanan Ipoh, known for its dedicated service to the underprivileged, underscores Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh’s dedication to fostering a culture of kindness and support within the local community.

In addition to food distribution, the initiative was enriched by the contributions of Local Trash Heroes, Buku Jalanan, and Anjung Singgah, each bringing their unique services to the table. Anjung Singgah notably offered complimentary haircuts, enhancing the personal well-being of the homeless and elderly attendees.

Reflecting on this heartwarming endeavour, Mohd Najip Abdullah, Assistant General Manager of Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh, shared, “It’s been a great journey kicking off our first year here at Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh. We’re more than just a cafe – we are part of this vibrant community. Joining hands with Dapur Jalanan Ipoh is a heartwarming experience. Seeing the smiles and feeling the gratitude from those we helped was beyond rewarding. We’re here to serve and uplift the people of Ipoh City, and we’re just getting started. Our motto, ‘Take Time To Be Kind,’ is at the core of everything we do, and we’re committed to making a positive impact in the lives of our neighbours.”

This initiative not only reflects the community-oriented values of Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh but also sets a precedent for future activations aimed at enriching the lives of Ipoh’s residents. As the cafe continues to embed itself within the fabric of the city, its commitment to public service and community support remains steadfast.

“We were deeply touched to be part of such a meaningful event,” said Mohd Najip Abdullah, Assistant General Manager of Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh. “Seeing the smiles on the faces of those we helped was incredibly rewarding. It reminded us all of the importance of community and kindness.”
