Maxim E-hailing Spreads Merdeka Joy to Orphans

Georgetown-based Maxim E-hailing representatives marked Independence Day with a heartwarming visit to the Children’s Protection Society, bringing smiles and much-needed supplies to the young residents.

The Maxim team spent half a day engaging with the orphans, ensuring they felt the festive spirit of this important national occasion. They came bearing gifts tailored to the orphanage’s needs, including food supplies, stationery kits, books and electronic equipment.

A giant custom Snakes and Ladders board proved to be a hit, sparking friendly competition between the children and Maxim’s management. The e-hailing company’s representatives also took the opportunity to impart valuable knowledge about road safety, teaching the youngsters proper road-crossing techniques and the meanings of various road signs.

Khoo Teng Shen, head of Maxim Georgetown, expressed his satisfaction with the event. “Feel happy that Maxim Georgetown get the opportunity to participate in the charity event to help children on their needs. Satisfaction seeing their smile on the face, love and caring is a need for our society,” he said.

The orphanage management welcomed Maxim’s initiative. Miss Magdeline Leong, head of Children’s Protection Society, said, “Children are our future. We need to take care of their rights, like the one for education, and give them support in terms of their needs and emotions.”

Maxim’s community engagement extended beyond the orphanage visit. Its partner-drivers joined the Merdeka Parade 2024, proudly displaying Malaysian flags provided by the company. This dual celebration helped raise the spirit of independence while creating memorable moments for the Maxim community.

The company, which launched in Malaysia in 2019, has made such charitable activities a tradition. Maxim continues to develop innovative technologies for transport ordering and delivery services, with its apps ranking among the top with millions of users across various platforms.
