iSports had been in the cycling apparel scene for over a decade with their humble beginning in the year 2010. The entrepreneur from Penang, Goh Seng Toon had been an avid cyclist longer than his business. His love for cycling sparked this business idea and he kept on pushing it to new heights like where it is today.
Mr Goh started his business from his home back in 2010 when the cycling craze started. He spent a lot of time working with business partners and also manufacturers to ensure a steady supply and quality of his products.
“I had little sleep. Working till the late hours of the night. It’s common for me to sleep at 5am” said Goh as he reflected the time he started iSports. “It was hard at first but I kept on going, just like cycling. Never give up till I reach the top!”
His showroom is now filled with top quality cycling wear that is seen on many riders in Malaysia. This is the testament of quality he insists on all his apparels.
“We focus on quality and also customer support. These are the two key factors that determine who we are today.” explains Mr Goh. “When the pandemic hit us in March 2020, we were lucky to have a large portion of our business already online. It helped us pivot and continue providing top-notch apparel to International teams.”
Over the years, iSports had worked with many International teams and sponsored the Malaysian National Cycling Team, Terengganu TSG Team, Indonesia National Cycling Team & Brunei Darusallam Cycling Team.
Besides selling cycling apparel, Mr Goh is also very involved with cycling events all around Malaysia ensuring the event jerseys are delivered and customized on spec.
From the events that he helped organize, he had many close contacts with cycling teams and got his brand recognized in a short amount of time.
“The teams always come back to me with their feedback and ideas so I always upgrade to ensure our customers get the best quality for the best price.” said Mr Goh.
“It is an honour to be sponsoring our National team and I always make sure I give them the best to motivate them and give them an edge to win with pride!” says Goh with a gleam in his eyes.
“Most of our sales are from Shoppee & Lazada now with the current MCO. Our customers can still purchase at the comfort of their homes and have them delivered right to their doorstep.”
“To ensure our customers and also our staff are safe, we’ve installed a custom-built sanitizer right at the entrance of our showroom. Each person who comes in will need to be checked for temperature then sanitized with fine mist spray from the top of the chamber. They will then be handed plastic gloves to wear before touching any of our products.” explained Goh.
