Tarbush Restaurant Opens New Branch in Penang

Kuala Lumpur’s renowned Tarbush Restaurant has expanded its operations to Penang with a new branch on Chulia Street. The Middle Eastern eatery now occupies four adjacent shop lots in the busy tourist area.

The new restaurant features both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. The interior design includes decorative chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, carefully polished brick walls, and comfortable velvet sofas for diners. These elements combine to create an authentic Middle Eastern atmosphere.

Visitors entering through the glass doors will immediately notice the elegant and colourful interior. The design transforms the dining space into what feels like a Middle Eastern realm, offering customers a unique dining environment in Penang.

The Penang branch introduces a special menu item not available at other locations. The “Broasted Tarbush” chicken features a crispy exterior while maintaining juicy meat inside. The dish is marinated with distinctive Middle Eastern spices and served with multiple side items.

Each order of the signature chicken comes with cocktail sauce, mayonnaise, garlic sauce, pickles, potato wedges, and coleslaw. Customers can enjoy the chicken with bread or simply dip it in the various sauces provided.

They have a timer game in store for all. Each customer will receive two opportunities to hit exactly one second on a timer. Those who succeed will have their entire bill waived.

Tarbush Restaurant’s expansion to Penang adds another dining option to the island’s diverse food scene. The establishment brings authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, joining the many international food options already available to locals and tourists.

The restaurant’s management chose Lebuh Chulia for its central location and popularity among both local residents and international visitors. The area is known for its vibrant atmosphere and variety of dining establishments.
