A total of 3,500 user accounts in Penang are set to face a scheduled water supply disruption due to maintenance work. The affected areas include Lorong Delima 1-to-20 (except No. 19), Lintang Delima 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 16, as well as Cangkat Delima 1, 2, and 3.
The scheduled water cut, announced by the Penang Water Supply Corporation, will take place from 10pm on Friday until 6am on Saturday. This interruption is necessary for the installation of electromagnetic flow meters and pressure relief valves for three district-metered areas (DMAs) in the Northeast district.
The Penang Water Supply Corporation has advised the affected residents to store enough water for use throughout this period. The corporation has also issued an apology for any inconvenience caused and will update the status of the supply disruption through its official Facebook page.
Residents in the affected areas are urged to prepare in advance to minimize the impact of the water supply interruption. The corporation’s proactive communication aims to keep the public informed and ensure a smooth process during the maintenance work.
