Elderly Man Discovered Injured and Alone on Balik Pulau Hill Slope After Mysterious Fall

An elderly man reported missing since yesterday was found injured on a hill slope in the Bukit Titi Serong area today. The victim, Teh Seng Keat, aged 78, who was driving a Perodua Myvi, is believed to have lost control of his vehicle before plunging down the slope.

Penang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) director Mohamad Shoki Hamzah stated that the department received an emergency call from the public at 4.08 pm, alerting them to a car that had skidded off the road in the area. Upon arrival, the fire department discovered a car that had gone off a slope, and further inspection revealed an elderly man trapped between rocks near the vehicle.

“The man suffered injuries and was in a state of exhaustion. The fire team carried the victim up using a stretcher before handing him over to the Ministry of Health’s medical team,” said Mohamad Shoki Hamzah when contacted by Bernama.

He further confirmed that, based on available information, the victim was reported missing yesterday. Prior to this, the man’s son had posted a video on social media appealing for public assistance to locate his father, who had been missing since 5.30 pm the previous day after going out for a drive.
