A total of 35 activities are scheduled for the National Unity Week 2025 celebration, taking place from 17 to 20 July at the grounds of Stadium Batu Kawan in Penang. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will officiate the event on Saturday, 19 July, at 10.30 am.

According to a statement from the Ministry of National Unity, visitors can expect a diverse programme of cultural and community-focused activities. Key features include the Rumah KAMI ethnic house exhibition, Kadazan Dusun and Orang Asli cultural villages, the Malaysia Tanah Airku showcase, a historical timeline exhibition by the Department of Museums Malaysia, and the Malaysian Library Pavilion.

Additional highlights are the Food Unites programme, MADANI sales, displays of handicrafts and local products, a durian festival, traditional games, an e-sports tournament, the Knowledge Trail, the Penang Book Fair, open-air film screenings, the Open Boria Competition, a Traditional Costume Showcase, and a Primary School Ethnic Dance Competition.

Various public services will be made available during the event, such as traffic summons discounts provided by the Royal Malaysia Police and the Road Transport Department, alongside compound reductions from the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) and the Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP).

Government agencies and security forces will host exhibitions to inform visitors about their duties and responsibilities, aiming to increase public engagement and awareness.

Performances by notable local artistes, including Datuk Awie, Stacy, Jaclyn Victor, Black Hanifah, Shila Zikir, and Suki Low, are planned. Nasyeed groups Hijjaz and Inteam will also take the stage. Children’s entertainment will be provided by a musical show from Didi & Friends, and opportunities for aspiring performers are available through the Bintang Idol Perpaduan and Battle of the Bands competitions.

Running under the theme “Harmony in Diversity,” the event is positioned as a significant platform for promoting unity among Malaysians of all backgrounds through inclusive, engaging activities. “The main objective is to bridge differences and cultivate a spirit of togetherness and mutual respect – the foundation of national strength,” the statement added.
