Penang Second Bridge to Halt Traffic for PBIM 2024: What Motorists Need to Know

The Penang Second Bridge is set to close temporarily to accommodate the Penang Bridge International Marathon (PBIM) 2024. The closure will be in effect from 11pm on December 14 until 10am on December 15 to facilitate the event.

This temporary closure is necessary to ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the marathon, which is a significant sporting event in the region. The State Tourism and Creative Economy Committee has been involved in the planning and coordination of the event, highlighting its importance for local tourism and community engagement.

The Aspen-Klippa Penang Bridge International Marathon 2024 is scheduled to take place on December 15, and the event organizers, along with local authorities, have made arrangements to minimize disruptions to traffic and daily activities during the closure period.
