GEORGE TOWN: G Hotel Gurney has once again proven itself as a premier event venue in Penang after being conferred the prestigious ASEAN MICE Venue Standard 2024-2026 Award under the Meeting Rooms category last week.
Accepting the award on behalf of the hotel was General Manager Michael Hanratty at the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2024 held in Vientiane, Laos. Presenting the award was Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Dato’ Roslan Tan Sri Abdul Rahman.
The ASEAN MICE Venue Standard recognises businesses and destinations in ASEAN that comply with stringent standards for convention and meeting facilities. G Hotel Gurney was assessed on criteria including its physical meeting rooms, safety and security features, use of technology and service standards.
