KUALA LUMPUR: Toll exemptions will be given to users of Class 1 private vehicles on 8th and 9th February in conjunction with the Chinese New Year.

Alexander Nanta Linggi, the Minister of Works, mentioned that this initiative aligns with the unity government’s commitment to safeguarding the welfare of the rakyat and alleviating their cost of living.

This toll exemption, estimated at RM42.99 million, will be applicable on all highways from 12.01am on Thursday until 11.59pm on Friday.

The exemption does not extend to tolls at the country’s borders, specifically the Sultan Iskandar Building and Tanjung Kupang toll plazas.

Nanta advised road users to plan their journeys ahead of time and to follow the highway authorities’ travel time advisory.
