Iconic Marjorie Hotel has claimed three major victories at the 2025 Haute Grandeur Global Awards, less than eight months after opening its doors.
The Tribute Portfolio Hotel by Marriott International scooped up Best Destination Hotel in Asia, Best Sustainable Lifestyle Hotel in Malaysia, and Best Modern Hotel in Malaysia.
The Penang property opened in December 2024 and has already made waves in the hospitality scene.

Award-winning firm Hirsch Bedner Associates designed the hotel, creating a modern Peranakan aesthetic throughout its 298 guest rooms.
The property features 32 Junior Suites and six Executive Suites. Each room blends heritage charm with contemporary comfort.
Three signature venues anchor the hotel’s food and beverage offerings. Loom & Leafs Lounge, Tiffin Hall, and Senses Bar serve international cuisine with artistic flair.
Weekend performances and themed afternoon teas provide entertainment against Penang’s skyline views.
Green Pioneer
The hotel has achieved a significant environmental milestone. It’s the first high-rise hotel in Penang to earn Gold rating from the Green Building Index.
Solar panels top the building while electric vehicle charging stations serve guests. Energy-efficient systems run throughout the property.
